To modify your room, click the DECOR icon between the Closet and Pocket icons on the bottom bar. You must be in your room in order to make changes to it.
The Edit Room box appears, allowing you to see all the furniture you have purchased, as well as the option to move and place furniture in your room. To get the star, move/rotate a piece of furniture.
